The Resell Rights licenses give you, the marketer, the right to resell the product to an end user. This license applies to both physical and digital products, which might include eBooks, audio and video products, software, and templates.  The advantage of a digital product is that when you resell the product you keep 100% of the profits. And guess what? You can resell the product again and again, always keeping 100% of the profit.

There are several different types of resell rights products that you can purchase to market online.  Let's take a look at the main types:

With Basic Resell Rights you are granted the right to resell the product, but your customer does not have the right to resell it to another. You get to keep 100% of the profit after every sale you make.  However, the basic Resell Rights license does not allow you to change anything within the product or claim ownership of the product.

With Master Resell Rights you get to take the process one step further.   Your license grants you the right to resell the product as well as the Basic Resale rights to your customers. Your customers can, in turn, resell the same book to their customers. The Master Resell Rights might either be bundled together with the original purchase of the product or purchased separately from the product.  Once again, the Master Resell Rights license does not allow any changes within the product or claim of ownership.

Private Label Rights is the top level of all resell rights!  Purchasing Private Label Rights usually grants you permission to make changes to the product, put your own name on it, sell Resell Rights, or even Master Resell Rights to others...  basically, to use and treat the product just as if it were your own creation.

Basically, this license gives you permission to give the product away for free.  Sometimes you cannot resell and/or edit it.  A lot of the time, Master Resell Rights licensed products also give you the right to give the product away.

Another resell rights license you don't see as often is Royalty Rights. Most often you will find this product connected to a software product which takes much more time and expense to create.  Royalty Rights require you to pay the original product author, or franchisor, a percentage of every sale you make. This license might also apply to physical product.

Resell Rights licenses can at times be included with a product when purchased. At other times, you purchase the product and the resell rights separately.  In either case, once you have a resell rights license to a product, you can then commence making sales and you keep 100% of the profits.   

Once again, you are only purchasing the rights to sell the product.  You are not authorized to make any changes, and the product creator's name remains on the product.
